I began at a very young age to use a camera to express my creativity, capturing images of my family using a Polaroid camera. I studied photography at the Ohio Institute of Photography with Portraiture being my major. I choose my subjects by what delights and captures my imagination from local scenes and flowers, to capturing a moment in the life of a child….I want my photographs to tell a story.
New developments in technology are allowing me to expand my vision. Now, I can photograph subjects that appeal to me and through the use of the digital darkroom, create one of a kind art pieces that nourish my creative spirit. My journey has taken me from the traditional approach to photography to the world of fine art using digital as well as alternative photographic techniques.
